Sebastian Blatt obtained his PhD in Jun Ye’s group at JILA on strontium lattice clocks (2006-2011). As a postdoc in Markus Greiner’s group at Harvard, he pioneered microscopy of fermionic atoms (2011-2015). Dr Blatt currently is a group leader in Immanuel Bloch’s division at the Max-Planck-Institute of Quantum Optics.
