Jean-Paul Kneib received the M.Sc. degree in astrophysics and space technology and the Ph.D. degree in astrophysics from Toulouse University, Toulouse, France, in 1990 and 1993, respectively. He worked as a Support Astronomer with European Southern Observatory (ESO), Munich, Germany. He has conducted research in gravitational lensing and cosmology in Cambridge, Toulouse, Caltech, and Marseille, before coming to the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), Lausanne, Switzerland. He is Director of the Laboratory of Astrophysics, and Director of the EPFL Space Center. He also leads the Swiss SKA Consortium.(Based on document published on 10 August 2022).
