Slim Slama is Chief Executive Officer of the World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH) at Qatar Foundation. A physician and global-health leader, he works across health policy, system transformation, chronic disease and international collaboration.

Before joining WISH, Slama held senior leadership roles at the World Health Organization, including Unit Head for Noncommunicable Disease Management in Geneva. He also spent more than seven years at WHO’s Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean, supporting countries on NCD prevention, management and health-system strengthening.

Earlier, he spent more than 16 years at the University Hospitals of Geneva in clinical, academic and programme-leadership roles, including Chief Resident and Programme Director of the Geneva Health Forum. He holds a Master of Public Health from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
