Oshiorenoya is the founder & CEO of Koniku Inc., the world’s first neuro-computing company. Koniku is building next generation computational platforms with actual biological neurons or wet neurochips. Oshiorenoya and his team view real biological neurons as a material to be engineered - just like silicon. “We have engineered silicon for the last 60 years and exhausted that value. Building with biology, the most advanced technology known to man, is the next step,” he says.

For the past 15 years, Oshiorenoya has worked in robotics, optics, computational neuroscience, and bioengineering. He led a cross-disciplinary team to develop an in vitro reflex arc for modelling implantable neural chips and completed a design for a peripheral nerve implant.

Oshiorenoya is a theoretical physicist by training and earned a PhD in Computational Neuroscience and Bioengineering at the Imperial College in London.
