Olivier Elemento is Director of the Englander Institute for Precision Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine and Professor of Systems and Computational Biomedicine and Computational Genomics. He is a computational biologist whose work brings together genomics, artificial intelligence and experimental biology.

His laboratory develops methods to analyse large genomic, epigenomic and clinical datasets, with a particular emphasis on cancer. The goal is to identify disease-driving alterations, predict therapeutic vulnerabilities and support treatment strategies tailored to individual patients. More recently, his work has increasingly explored how modern AI can accelerate biomedical discovery and precision oncology.

Elemento trained in engineering, intelligent systems and computational biology in France and completed postdoctoral work at Princeton University before joining Weill Cornell Medicine in 2008.
