A senior program manager in science anticipation at GESDA, Manuel Gustavo Isaac helps develop the philosophical foundations and framing of our anticipatory work and advance social sciences and humanities research integration into our products. With a PhD in History and Philosophy of Science and Technology from Paris Cité University, his research has been funded by prestigious fellowships from major research agencies, published in top academic journals, presented at distinguished conferences worldwide, and translated for impact into many practitioner workshops, public science lectures, and scientific consultancies. Manuel Gustavo holds a lectureship in emerging technology ethics at the EPFL. He is a member of the International Science Council’s Global Roster of Experts and currently serves as a global expert in the Earth Institute’s AI Ethics Task Force at Columbia University and a research group member at the Center for AI and Digital Policy.
