Jean Marie FRANCOIS is PhD from University of Louvain (Belgium). He is full professorof Industrial Microbiology and BioNanotechnology at the National Institute of Applied Sciences, University of Toulouse, France. His research activity concerns integrated physiology and functional genomics in microbial systems, with a specific focus on carbon and energy metabolism in yeast and filamentous fungi. Another major thematic of his group is dealing with synthetic and refactoring metabolism in microbial systems aiming at producing natural and non-natural compounds from renewable carbon resources as an alternative to petrochemical derived products.
