Eugene Chen
Eugene Chen is the director of the prevention and peacebuilding program at the NYU Center on International Cooperation. His research focuses on the interplay of substantive policy, intergovernmental politics, and bureaucratic processes at the United Nations. He previously served in numerous roles within the United Nations Secretariat, most recently in the Executive Office of the Secretary-General, where was responsible for coordinating the implementation of institutional reform initiatives. Prior to joining the Secretariat, he served as lead negotiator for the U.S. Government at the United Nations on subjects including peacekeeping operations, the scales of assessments, and institutional reform.
