BENING AHMED WIISICHONG is the Secretary-General for the Pan African Youth Union(PYU), actively involved in student and youth work for over a decade. Served as the Education and Democratization Secretary of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS), became Programs Director of the All-Africa Students Union (AASU), also served as Secretary-General for the West Africa Youth Organization and later the Deputy Secretary-General of the Pan African Youth Union(PYU) before ascending to Secretary-General in 2022. He has extensive knowledge and understanding of youth development organizations across the African youth development ecosystem and has worked extensively with many youth organisations across the globe. As Secretary-General of the Pan African Youth Union, he is responsible for coordinating all National youth coordinating mechanisms across the 54 African states, the regional regional platforms and leading operations of the apex youth body. Mr. Bening has experience and deep understanding engaging with all the major multilateral systems such as the United Nations, African Union, Commonwealth, ECOWAS, ACP, SADC, G5 Sahel countries, advocating and moderating youth engagements on these major platforms across the globe.
