Ms Trimoulla holds a Master’s degree in communications. She began her career in the luxury goods industry in Geneva, and more specifically as a Trade Marketing & Public Relations Officer in Coty Prestige’s worldwide travel retail department. After working in that position for five years, and taking a six-month sabbatical in 2012 during which she travelled and used the opportunity to take a step back, Ms Trimoulla carried out corporate communications assignments for the International Electrotechnical Commission and the International Committee of the Red Cross. She joined CERN in 2014, in the Visitors and Local Engagement unit. There she put on numerous outreach activities and events for the general public, such as Researchers’ Nights, TEDxCERN and Les Automnales. Ms Trimoulla subsequently worked on assignments for the World Intellectual Property Organization, the World Conference of Science Journalists in Lausanne, Oceaneye (an organization that studies microplastic pollution) and EPFL. She is deeply committed to the issues of sustainability, the environment, and marine conservation. Ms Trimoulla joined GESDA in August 2020.
